A variety of information is available on the Internet about the cultural, social, and economic development of Asian and Asian Pacific Islander communities in the United States.

Asian American Curriculum Project, Inc. (www.asianamericanbooks.com). A nonprofit voluntary educational organization established in 1969 that offers the most complete collection of Asian American books.

Asian American Government Executive Network (www.aagen.org). A network for Asian American senior executives employed by the federal government. The network represents more than 20 federal agencies and establishes a high-level voice and representation for Asian Americans in federal service.

Asian Americans for Equality (http://www.asianweb.net/news/text/aafe.htm). A New York-based organization serving an estimated 20,000 people annually with programs in housing development, homeownership, social services, civil rights, economic development, and technical assistance.

Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum (www.apiahf.org). A national advocacy organization dedicated to promoting policy, program, and research efforts to improve the health and well-being of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.

Asians Inc. (www.asiansinc.com). An organization that was founded in 1971 to provide a variety of services and resources for Asian American communities in northern California, and which has grown into a nonprofit technical assistance and research organization.

Association for Asian American Studies (www.aasp.cornell.edu/aaas/aaas_ cover_index.html). An online reference repository for the AAAS that produces journals, holds conferences, and fosters the growth of Asian American studies.

Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Inc. (www.leap.org). A national nonprofit organization dedicated to developing API leadership in the private, public, and community sectors. The organization is involved in national public policy research on API issues and professional leadership training.

Little Tokyo Service Center (www.ltsc.org). A nonprofit organization sponsoring more than 12 different community development and social service programs, including counseling, consumer education, transportation, translation services, affordable housing, and economic development.

Orange County Asian Pacific Islander Community Alliance (www.ocapica.org). An organization dedicated to enhancing the health and social well-being of the Asian and Pacific Islander community in Orange County, California. The site provides an extensive list of additional online resources.

Pacific Islanders' Cultural Association (www.pica-org.org). A nonprofit umbrella organization committed to developing and perpetuating the art, history, cultures, and traditions of all Pacific Islanders.
