Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) AADAT GIS Shapefile was used to calculate residential proximity to traffic and school proximity to traffic. The MnDOT Traffic Forecasting & Analysis website has a variety of data on their website that can be mapped, downloaded in to GIS software, analyzed, or exported in report or table format. GIS shapefiles are available for 1994 through 2013. The website also includes information about data collection methods.
