HUD USER Periodicals

ResearchWorks (Archived in September 2013): ResearchWorks was the official newsletter of HUD's Office of Policy Development & Research (PD&R), which had the mission of creating a bridge between the research and practitioner communities. ResearchWorks included new publication announcements, relevant case studies, and success stories highlighting the efforts of those who care about housing and who work to make it more affordable, accessible, energy and resource efficient, and available.

FieldWorks: FieldWorks was a bimonthly publication of HUD USER, the information service sponsored by the Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R), U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. FieldWorks shared practical information on noteworthy programs and useful resources in housing.

RBC Periodicals

Breakthroughs and Strategy of the Month (Archived in September 2013): The Breakthroughs online newsletter and the Strategy of the Month eList article provided information about successful affordable housing strategies and were both part of the Regulatory Barriers Clearinghouse. Since 2012, these articles have been incorporated into the In Practice column in PD&R’s online magazine, The Edge.

SCRC eNews

Sustainable Communities eNews (Archived in December 2013): Developed by the Office of Policy Development and Research in partnership with HUD’s Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities (OSHC), the Sustainable Communities Resource Center (SCRC) is a section of huduser.gov dedicated to providing you with information that supports local and regional strategies, with an emphasis on sustainable housing and planning. SCRC eNews, a quarterly enewsletter, provides strategies that advance sustainable community development and promote affordable housing.

Strong Cities, Strong Communities

Strong Cities, Strong Communities (Archived in October 2017): President Barack Obama established the White House Council on Strong Cities, Strong Communities (SC2) in 2012 as an innovative approach for supporting cities experiencing population and job loss, persistent poverty, capacity constraints, and similar challenges in an era of ever dwindling resources. SC2 was officially launched under Executive Order 13602. This newsletter provides updates on SC2.
