HUD Awards Independent Living Facility Grant
Inside Indiana Business (2/11) reported that HUD "has awarded $6.3 million for the construction of an independent living facility in Indianapolis. The three story building will include 50 one-bedroom units, which Congressman André Carson (D-7) says will include accommodations for elderly residents." Notably, the funds were "provided through HUD's Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly program and was a portion of $31.5 million in housing assistance announced this week."
