Pilot Program to Cut Paperwork on Affordable Housing Projects

The Milwaukee Business Journal (2/28, Subscription Publication) reports, "State and federal housing agents plan to eliminate paperwork and delays for affordable housing developers with a new agreement announced Monday to streamline government reviews." This initiative "is a collaboration that includes the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority and the local office of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, which is led by former WHEDA director Antonio Riley." The deal "aims to eliminate redundant reviews of programs monitoring spending of federal grant money on affordable housing developments."
