
State Housing Projects Awarded $12.6 Million in Tax Credits
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (4/19) reports, "Wisconsin's housing agency has awarded $12.6 million in tax credits to 21 housing projects around the state, Gov. Scott Walker said Wednesday. The projects are expected to create 1,816 jobs and 1,292 affordable rental housing units, Walker's office said." In return "for receiving Affordable Housing Tax Credits from the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, developers agree to reserve a portion of their housing units for lower- and moderate-income households for up to 15 years."
