Renting Comes of Age for Seniors.

The Chicago Tribune (6/24, Adler) reports, "Renting may be associated with a mobile lifestyle, but it isn't just for the young." Similar to "a lot of young people who don't want the responsibility of property ownership, many seniors opt to rent for flexibility at a time when life can quickly take uncertain turns." The Tribune says that "older renters have a lot of options in the Chicago area, with many age-restricted apartment buildings available in the city and suburbs," offering rents "ranging from just under $1,000 to more than $6,000 a month."
