Brewer Breaks Ground on Much-needed $3.4m Senior Housing Project
The Bangor (ME) Daily News (8/3) reports, "About 20 people assembled Thursday morning at 258 Chamberlain Street to officially break ground on the Chamberlain Place senior housing project. The $3.4 million, 34,452-square-foot project features 32 rental units - 26 of which will be available with rental assistance - and is expected to create 50 to 100 jobs and $20 million in construction-related effects to Brewer." It will also increase the number of affordable units, which are currently in short supply.
