IPI seeks to identify the best available evidence, innovations, and lessons from international partners that can be used to advance HUD’s mission to create strong, sustainable, and inclusive communities. To achieve this goal, the office collaborates with a diverse cross-sector of global partners through multi-year cooperative agreements, topical short-term learning exchanges, and joint comparative research projects. Leveraging its position within PD&R, IPI’s international portfolio focuses on the cross-section of research, policy development, and innovation transfer. The office also provides support for urban policy initiatives conducted by other U.S. Federal Agencies.
